  3. Teddy Wilson is always a beautiful pianist to listen to, and here his performance excels. Drummer Jo Jones always provides a reliable swinging foundation, as does bassist Gene Ramey. The original vinyl LP had just six tracks, six wonderful ballads all given the Jones / Young / Wilson /5(59).

  6. American jazz pianist. Born November 24, , Austin, Texas, USA. Died July 31, , New Britain, Connecticut, USA. Described by critic Scott Yanow as "the definitive swing pianist". Wilson's sophisticated and elegant style was featured on the records of many of the biggest names in jazz including Louis Armstrong, Lena Horne, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald.

  7. This is my favourite jazz album. Please give a listen. At least, you should try "Prisoner of love" or "Our love is here to stay". I bought it for Lester Young and I've been caught up by Teddy Wilson melodies and touch! Highly recommended! Four songs out of six carry the word "love", so now you all know what that record is about: love and/of.
